ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is Chloe Kaufman, and I'm a co-treasurer for this year's PLTW EDD class. I went to Lincoln Middle School, so this is my fourth year in engineering. At Santa Monica High School, I am on the varsity basketball team and a co-president for the basketball club, where I am in charge of fundraising for my team. Outside of SAMO, I love to hike, spend time with friends, and make digital music (I'm currently in a music producing class at Beat Lab Academy).

One of the fields within engineering that I'm looking into is environmental engineering. I believe that nature and Earth are very special, and I want to learn more about what exactly environmental engineers can do to improve our world. Over quarantine, I have gone on many adventures in the mountains and I have built a whole new perspective on nature and how beautiful our surroundings are. Considering that all types of pollution are on their way to ruining this world, I want to look further into any sort of improvements that these engineers are responsible for, and possibly even become one myself.
